Dear Evamarie,
1. Usually, there is not much cure (if any) for such a ceiling.
2. If the ceiling is not sloping but curved or semi-circular (rounded), this is still acceptable).
3. For the bed, a poster bed where one hangs e.g. a `canopy' or lace or cloth above it is one method of neutralising it. Otherwise, there is really not much can be done.
The higher the ceiling, the better it is. Or the effects are considered lesser.
